Marketing and servicing are different things, and you can control them separately. Turning off promotional messages doesn’t — and shouldn’t — turn off the operational alerts your account depends on.
How to split them
- Go to Account > Contacts & notifications.
- Switch marketing / product news off.
- Leave servicing alerts on — statements ready, payment reminders, failed-payment and security alerts.
Why keep servicing on
Servicing messages aren’t marketing — they’re how you find out a statement is ready, a collection is coming, or something needs your attention. We can’t reasonably run your account without being able to reach you about it, so those stay on even when marketing is off. That’s the honest line: you can silence the sales, not the essentials.
Most of this is self-service in your customer portal, which is the fastest route and available at any time. Where a change needs our team to verify it, we say so and give a realistic turnaround so you can plan around it.
