Payments

How do I check a payment cleared before a deadline?

If you have made a payment by bank transfer to meet a settlement deadline or clear arrears by a certain date, do not assume it arrived — confirm it. A few minutes of checking avoids a payment that technically missed the date it was meant to hit.

Confirming a transfer reached us in time

  1. Send it early, not on the day. A standard bank transfer between UK business accounts is usually same-day via Faster Payments, but limits and cut-off times vary by bank. If a date is critical, send the money at least one working day ahead.
  2. Use the correct reference. Money arrives faster and matches automatically when you quote the exact reference from your statement or offer. See what reference to use for a bank transfer.
  3. Check it against your account and ours. Confirm the debit left your account, then check your Credicorp statement or contact support to confirm we have applied it. See how to check whether a payment has reached us.
  4. Keep the confirmation. Save the payment confirmation and reference in case there is any query about timing later.

If it is cutting it fine

If a deadline is close and you are not certain the money will land in time, tell us before the deadline rather than after. We can see a payment in progress and treat the date sensibly when you have flagged it in advance. This is especially worth doing for a settlement figure, which is only valid up to a stated date.

Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
