If your Credicorp statement and your business bank account do not agree when you reconcile, do not panic — it is nearly always a timing difference or a single mismatched line, and it is findable.
Finding the difference
- Line up the two records. Put the statement's transactions next to your bank feed for the same period. See using statements to reconcile your facility with your bank.
- Look for timing gaps first. A collection or payment near a period end may show on one record and not yet the other — that resolves itself next period.
- Isolate any true mismatch. If a line genuinely differs in amount, check it on both sides. See how to check a statement line you don't recognise.
If it is a real discrepancy
If after checking it is not a timing difference and not a mistake on your side, raise it with us with the date, amount and reference. See I think there is an error on my statement and correcting an error or query on your statement.
Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
