Almost every servicing problem — a missed statement, a failed verification, an alert that never came — traces back to an out-of-date contact detail. Keeping them current is the highest-value five minutes you’ll spend on the account.
What to keep current
- Your email — ideally a monitored shared inbox as well as a personal one.
- Your mobile — used for security codes and time-critical alerts.
- Your registered office and correspondence address.
Make it a habit
Update details in Account > Company details and Contacts & notifications the moment anything changes — a new phone, a staff change, an office move. Changes to a security-relevant detail like your mobile are verified, which protects you. Current details mean alerts arrive, statements reach you, and verification is quick when you need something done — the quiet foundation under smooth servicing.
Whenever a change touches money, access or your company’s data, we verify the request is genuinely from an authorised person before we act. We will never ask you to confirm full security details by email or phone to release information or push through a change — if a message pressures you to do that, treat it as suspicious and contact us to check.
