The mobile number on your account is used for security codes and time-critical alerts, so keeping it current matters — and because it guards access, changing it is a verified step rather than a silent edit.
How to update it
- Sign in and go to Account > Security (or Contacts & notifications).
- Enter the new mobile number.
- Confirm the change with a code sent to prove the new number is yours.
Why the extra step
Redirecting security codes to a new phone is exactly what an attacker would try, so we confirm the change is genuinely yours before it takes effect. If you’ve already lost access to the old number and can’t receive the confirming code, contact support and we’ll verify your identity another way before updating it. Never action a number-change request that arrives out of the blue by text or email — start it yourself from inside your account.
Whenever a change touches money, access or your company’s data, we verify the request is genuinely from an authorised person before we act. We will never ask you to confirm full security details by email or phone to release information or push through a change — if a message pressures you to do that, treat it as suspicious and contact us to check.
