Closing your whole account — not just a facility — ends your login entirely. Do a little housekeeping first so you keep what you need, and understand what happens to your data afterwards.
Before you close
- Confirm every facility is settled and shows a zero balance.
- Download your statements, agreement, KIS and settlement confirmations — you’ll want them for six years or more.
- Cancel any Direct Debit once nothing more is due.
What happens to your data
We keep certain records after closure because we’re required to — for example, to meet legal and regulatory retention obligations. Beyond that, your data is handled in line with our privacy notice. You can ask for a copy of your data before or after closure, and ask about deletion of anything not subject to a retention rule. Closing the account doesn’t erase our lawful records, but it does end active access and communications.
Whenever a change touches money, access or your company’s data, we verify the request is genuinely from an authorised person before we act. We will never ask you to confirm full security details by email or phone to release information or push through a change — if a message pressures you to do that, treat it as suspicious and contact us to check.
