Before we make a change or release information about your account, we confirm we’re talking to an authorised person. It takes a moment, and it exists to stop anyone but you moving your money or seeing your figures. Having a few things ready makes it painless.
Have these to hand
- Your company name and number, or your account reference.
- The email or phone number registered to your account.
- Confirmation of your role — director, member or authorised user.
What we’ll never do
We will never ask you to read out a full password, a one-time code you’ve received, or full security details “to verify you” — legitimate checks don’t work that way. If a message or call pressures you to share those, stop and contact us on a number you trust. Doing the check properly is what keeps an impostor out, so a genuine request never resents it.
Whenever a change touches money, access or your company’s data, we verify the request is genuinely from an authorised person before we act. We will never ask you to confirm full security details by email or phone to release information or push through a change — if a message pressures you to do that, treat it as suspicious and contact us to check.
