A failed collection isn’t a crisis if you act promptly. Clearing it quickly stops it compounding and keeps your record clean.
Right after a failure
- Check why — usually insufficient funds or a bank issue; your alert or statement will show it.
- Make the missed amount up with a one-off payment from the portal.
- Make sure the account is funded for the next scheduled collection.
If money’s genuinely short
If you can’t cover it, tell us before the next attempt rather than letting it fail again. We may retry a failed Direct Debit, but repeated failures cost you and can affect future borrowing, so it’s always better to talk to us early. There is real, no-friction support available if your cash flow is under pressure — asking for it promptly keeps the most options open.
Credicorp lends to UK limited companies and LLPs, not to individuals. The agreement is with the company and carries no director personal guarantee. Because this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime, it is not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or the FSCS — our own complaints process is the route if something goes wrong.
