Most UK business bank transfers move via Faster Payments and arrive within minutes, but that is not guaranteed for every payment, bank or amount. For a time-critical payment, a few precautions give it the best chance of same-day arrival.
Getting a transfer there today
- Send well before your bank's cut-off. Each bank has a daily cut-off after which payments process the next working day. Send in the morning where you can.
- Check your Faster Payments limit. Large amounts can exceed a per-payment limit and route via a slower method. If yours is close to the limit, ask your bank or split the payment.
- Use the exact reference. The right reference means it matches to your account on arrival rather than being held. See what reference to use.
- Confirm arrival. Check the debit left your account and that we have received it. See how to check whether a payment has reached us.
If it absolutely must land by a set time — a settlement deadline — do not rely on same-day; send it a working day early. See checking a payment cleared before a deadline.
Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
