Payments

What do I do if I've been collected twice?

Being collected twice for the same payment is rare but alarming when it happens — a duplicated Direct Debit, or a manual payment made because you thought the Direct Debit had failed when it had not. It is fully recoverable.

Putting it right

  1. Confirm it really is a duplicate. Check your bank and your Credicorp statement to be sure two payments for the same amount and period were taken. See how to view your payment history.
  2. Contact us with the details. Give support both dates, the amount and the reference. See I was charged twice or an incorrect amount.
  3. Choose refund or credit. We can refund the extra to your business account or leave it reducing your balance — your choice. See how refunds of overpayments work.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

If the duplicate was a Direct Debit error, the Direct Debit Guarantee also entitles you to an immediate refund from your own bank — though contacting us directly is often just as fast and keeps your records clean. See Direct Debit indemnity claims and I paid twice by mistake.

Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
