Repayment dates are set when you sign your loan agreement, based on the schedule in your Key Information Sheet. They cannot be changed self-service in the portal, but a one-off date change can be requested in certain circumstances.
When a date change may be possible
We consider date change requests when:
- The date falls within a few days of an unusual cash flow event (e.g. a large payment from a customer is 3 days late).
- The date falls on a date that is structurally problematic for your company (e.g. before your regular payment run).
- You are otherwise in good standing with your account.
A date change is not the same as a payment holiday — interest continues to accrue on any outstanding balance until the payment is made.
How to request it
- Make the request at least 5 banking days before the scheduled payment date — this is the minimum required to amend a direct debit collection. Requests closer than 5 days to the date may not be processable in time.
- Use the Payment difficulty form or call our support team. Explain the reason and the date you can pay instead.
- We will confirm in writing whether the request has been agreed and what the new date is. Do not assume a date change has been agreed until you receive written confirmation.
If you are waiting for a date change to be confirmed, do not cancel your direct debit mandate. If the change is not agreed in time and the mandate has been cancelled, the payment will fail entirely and you will be in arrears.
