The safest habit is simple: we never ask for your password, full card details or a payment to release a loan, and anything genuinely sensitive lives in your secure portal — not in an email. If a message asks for any of those, treat it as suspect and check independently.
The tell-tale signs of a scam
- A request for your banking or portal password — we never ask for it.
- A demand for an upfront payment to "release" or "unlock" your loan — there is no such fee; see is there any cost to apply.
- Pressure to act immediately or lose the offer.
- A link to a page that is not your usual secure portal.

We lend only to UK limited companies and LLPs, the loan is to the company with no director personal guarantee, and this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime — as an exempt lender under Article 60B of the Regulated Activities Order we sit outside FCA consumer-credit regulation, so the Financial Ombudsman Service and FSCS do not apply.
