Direct Debits only move on working days, so a due date that falls on a weekend or a bank holiday cannot be collected on that exact day. Knowing the rule stops it catching you out.
The rule
When your scheduled date is a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday, the collection is taken on the next working day instead. The amount does not change — only the day it lands. Your Direct Debit notice reflects this, and it appears correctly on your statement.
What to do about it
Simply make sure cleared funds are in the collection account by the next working day, not just the original date. Around long weekends this can mean the money sits a day or two longer before it leaves — plan for it rather than moving it out early. See keeping enough funds in your account for collection.

The same applies to a payment you send us — a transfer over a bank-holiday weekend can clear a little slower. See what happens if a repayment falls on a bank holiday and what if a payment falls on a weekend or bank holiday.
Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
