Paying the wrong amount by transfer happens — a typo, a miscalculation, the wrong figure copied from an old statement. How we handle it depends on whether you paid too much or too little, and both are straightforward to fix.
If you paid too little
Send the shortfall as soon as you notice it, quoting the same reference, so the account is brought up to the amount that was due. If the underpayment means a scheduled instalment was not fully covered, top it up before the due date passes so it is not treated as a partial or missed payment — see how partial payments are allocated.
If you paid too much
An overpayment is not lost. By default it reduces your balance, which lowers the interest that accrues on an interest-bearing facility — see how overpayments are applied. If you would rather have the surplus back because it was a genuine mistake, contact us to arrange a refund to your business account — see how refunds of overpayments work and I paid twice by mistake.
Getting it corrected
Whichever way it went, contact support with the date, amount and reference and we will confirm how it has been applied and put anything right. Keep your payment confirmation to hand. See I was charged twice or an incorrect amount.
Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
