Fees & charges

Does a failed card payment cost anything?

A card payment that is declined is usually a matter of your card issuer, not a charge from us — but the underlying payment still needs to be made, so it is worth understanding what happens.

The decline itself

A declined card payment does not normally attract a fee from us, because no payment was taken — it simply did not go through. Your card issuer may have its own reasons for the decline. See why a card payment was declined.

Where a cost can arise

A cost arises if the failed payment means a scheduled amount was not paid on time — then the usual missed-payment position applies. See what a missed Direct Debit costs and how late-payment charges work. So the thing to avoid is not the decline, but leaving the payment unmade past its due date.

What to do

Try again or pay another way promptly so the amount is covered. See what payment methods can my company use and how to catch up after one missed collection.

Credicorp lends to companies rather than to you personally, so this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime. That does not change the practical steps below.
