When you connected your business bank account via Open Banking during your application, you granted a time-limited consent that allows us to read your account data. If this consent has expired, or you revoked it, and we need refreshed data — for example, for a top-up assessment or renewal — you will be prompted to reconnect. Here is how.
When you might need to reconnect
- Applying for a top-up or additional facility.
- Your consent expired (usually after 90 days, depending on your bank).
- You revoked consent via your bank's app and then want to proceed with a Credicorp application.
- A prompt appears in the portal saying your bank connection needs refreshing.
Step 1 — Start from the portal prompt or application
- Sign in at clients.credicorp.co.uk/login.
- If a prompt appears on your dashboard saying your bank connection needs refreshing, click Reconnect bank.
- Alternatively, if you are starting a new application or top-up request, you will be taken to the bank connection step automatically.
Step 2 — Select your bank
- A list of supported UK business banks will appear. Select your bank from the list.
- If you bank with multiple institutions and need to reconnect a specific account, make sure you select the correct bank.
Step 3 — Authenticate with your bank
- You will be redirected to your bank's own secure login page or mobile app. This is your bank's interface — Credicorp does not see your banking password.
- Log in as normal, then authorise the data-sharing request. This is typically presented as a consent screen showing what data Credicorp will access (transaction history for 90 days) and for how long.
- Approve the consent.
Step 4 — Return to Credicorp and confirm
- You will be automatically redirected back to the Credicorp portal once consent is granted.
- The portal will confirm the connection is active and show the account name and sort code we have connected to.
- You can now continue with your application, top-up request, or whatever prompted the reconnection.
If your bank is not on the list
Not all business bank accounts support Open Banking. If your bank is not listed, you can upload three months of recent bank statements in PDF format instead. Look for the Upload statements option on the bank connection screen.
Revoking consent later
You can revoke Open Banking consent at any time through your bank's app or online banking portal, under connected apps or data sharing permissions. Revoking consent does not affect your existing Credicorp account or any in-progress applications — it only prevents us from accessing new bank data going forward.
