Fees & charges

How do charges appear when I settle early?

When you settle early, the settlement figure you are quoted already contains everything owed to that day — so you pay one clean number, and the components behind it are visible for your records.

What the figure includes

On an interest-bearing facility, the settlement figure reflects the outstanding principal plus interest up to the settlement date, and any settlement charge that applies under your agreement. Settling early usually reduces the total interest you would otherwise pay. See how early settlement works, the early-settlement charge explained and does early settlement save money.

Where it shows on your records

The closing statement records the settlement payment and the account closing at zero, giving you the full picture for your files. See what your statement shows after early settlement and how charges are shown on your statement.

Check before you commit

Request a settlement figure and check any charge before paying, so there are no surprises. See requesting a settlement figure and does a settlement quote cost anything.
