Set up Credicorp email in Mozilla Thunderbird
This guide adds your Credicorp mailbox to Mozilla Thunderbird using IMAP, so your mail stays in sync across every device. It takes about five minutes. You will need your full email address (for example you@credicorp.co.uk) and your mailbox password.
If you would rather just see the raw server settings to copy into another program, use the Credicorp email settings page.
The settings you will need
Credicorp Mail uses IMAP only — POP is not offered. Enter these exactly:

| Authentication | Normal password |

Outgoing mail (SMTP)

|---|---|
| Port | 587 |

Step-by-step
1. Open the account setup
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
- If this is a fresh install, the Set Up Your Existing Email Address screen opens on its own — skip to the next step.
- Otherwise, click the menu button (≡) at the top right and choose Account Settings.
- At the bottom of the left column, click Account Actions, then Add Mail Account.
2. Enter your name, email and password
- In Your full name, type the name you want recipients to see.
- In Email address, type your full Credicorp email address, e.g.
you@credicorp.co.uk. - In Password, type your mailbox password. You can tick Remember password if this is your own device.
- Click Configure manually (do not click Continue) so you can enter the exact servers below.
3. Enter the incoming server (IMAP)
Under Incoming server, set:
- Protocol: IMAP
- Hostname:
mail.credicorp.co.uk - Port:
993 - Connection security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication method: Normal password
- Username: your full email address (e.g.
you@credicorp.co.uk)
4. Enter the outgoing server (SMTP)
Under Outgoing server, set:
- Hostname:
mail.credicorp.co.uk - Port:
587 - Connection security: STARTTLS
- Authentication method: Normal password
- Username: your full email address
5. Re-test and finish

- Click Done.
- Thunderbird downloads your folders. Your Inbox appears in the left column and your mailbox is ready to use.

You can read and send your Credicorp mail from any device without setting anything up.
If it does not connect
- Check the username. It must be your full email address (
you@credicorp.co.uk), not just the part before the @. - Check the ports and security. Incoming must be
993with SSL/TLS; outgoing must be587with STARTTLS. POP is not supported. - Re-enter your password. A single mistyped character causes a sign-in failure — retype it carefully.
- Confirm the server name. Both incoming and outgoing use
mail.credicorp.co.uk. - Still stuck? Sign in at webmail to confirm your password works, then try the setup again.
