Set up Credicorp email in Microsoft Outlook

Add your credicorp.co.uk mailbox to Microsoft Outlook on Windows as a manual IMAP account. These steps cover both new Outlook and classic Outlook.

Outlook can often detect Credicorp’s settings automatically once you enter your email address — but if it asks how to connect, or you prefer to set things up by hand, choose IMAP and use the settings below. Credicorp Mail uses IMAP only; POP is not offered, so your mail stays in sync across every device.

The settings you’ll need

Have these to hand before you start. Use them exactly as shown.

UsernameYour full email address (e.g. yourname@credicorp.co.uk)
PasswordYour mailbox password

Outgoing mail (SMTP)

New Outlook for Windows

This is the newer app with the toggle labelled “New Outlook” in the top corner. If you have the toggle switched on, follow these steps.

  1. Open Outlook and click the Settings gear in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Accounts, then Email accounts.
  3. Click Add account.
  4. Type your full Credicorp email address (for example yourname@credicorp.co.uk) and click Continue.
  5. If Outlook asks you to choose a provider or account type, select IMAP.
  6. Under IMAP incoming mail, enter the server mail.credicorp.co.uk, port 993, and set the security to SSL/TLS.
  7. Under SMTP outgoing mail, enter the server mail.credicorp.co.uk, port 587, and set the security to STARTTLS. Make sure the username is your full email address.
  8. Enter your mailbox password when prompted, then click Continue (or Done).
  9. Outlook connects and begins downloading your mail. You’re all set.

Classic Outlook for Windows

This is the traditional desktop app (Outlook 2016, 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365), with the ribbon along the top and a File menu.

  1. Open Outlook, click File, then Add Account.
  2. Type your full Credicorp email address (for example yourname@credicorp.co.uk).
  3. Click Advanced options, tick Let me set up my account manually, then click Connect.
  4. When asked to choose an account type, select IMAP.
  5. In the Incoming mail section, enter the server mail.credicorp.co.uk, port 993, and choose SSL/TLS for encryption.
  6. In the Outgoing mail section, enter the server mail.credicorp.co.uk, port 587, and choose STARTTLS for encryption.
  7. Click Next, enter your mailbox password, then click Connect.
  8. When you see the confirmation, click Done. Outlook will sync your mailbox.

If outgoing mail won’t send

The most common cause is the outgoing (SMTP) server having authentication switched off. In Outlook’s account settings, make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is ticked, set to Use same settings as my incoming mail server, on port 587 with STARTTLS. Your username must be your full email address.

You don’t need to set up an app at all — you can read and send your Credicorp mail from any browser.
