Set up Credicorp email on iPhone or iPad
This guide shows you how to add your Credicorp mailbox to the built-in Mail app on an iPhone or iPad. It takes about five minutes. Credicorp Mail uses IMAP, so your messages stay on the server and stay in sync across every device you sign in from.
Before you start, make sure you know your full email address
(for example yourname@credicorp.co.uk) and your mailbox password.
If you would rather not set anything up, you can always read and send mail in a browser at
webmail.credicorp.co.uk.
Step-by-step
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- At the bottom of the list of account types, tap Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
-
Fill in the New Account form, then tap Next:
- Name — your name, as you want it to appear on outgoing mail.
- Email — your full Credicorp email address, e.g.
yourname@credicorp.co.uk. - Password — your mailbox password.
- Description — a label for the account, e.g.
Credicorp.
- iOS will try to look up the account automatically. When it asks, make sure IMAP is selected at the top (not POP — we do not offer POP).
-
Under Incoming Mail Server, enter:
- Host Name —
mail.credicorp.co.uk - User Name — your full email address, e.g.
yourname@credicorp.co.uk - Password — your mailbox password
- Host Name —
-
Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), enter the same details. The
User Name and Password are required, even though
iOS marks them “Optional”:
- Host Name —
mail.credicorp.co.uk - User Name — your full email address
- Password — your mailbox password
- Host Name —
- Tap Next. iOS verifies the connection — this can take a few moments.
- Make sure Mail is switched on, then tap Save.
That’s it. Your Credicorp mailbox now appears in the Mail app, and your folders will sync automatically.
Credicorp email settings at a glance
iOS usually fills these in for you, but if you are asked to confirm them, or if you need to check them later under Settings › Mail › Accounts › Credicorp, these are the correct values.
Incoming mail (IMAP)
| Server (Host Name) | mail.credicorp.co.uk |
|---|---|
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL/TLS |
| User Name | Your full email address |
| Password | Your mailbox password |
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
| Server (Host Name) | mail.credicorp.co.uk |
|---|---|
| Port | 587 |
| Security | STARTTLS |
| Authentication | Required (same user name and password) |
Credicorp Mail is IMAP only — we do not offer POP. IMAP keeps your mail on the server so it stays in sync across your iPhone, iPad, computer and webmail.
If it doesn’t connect
-
Check your email address and password. Your user name is your
full email address (the part before and after the
@), not just the first part. Test the same details at webmail.credicorp.co.uk — if webmail works, the details are correct. -
Confirm the server name. Both the incoming and outgoing server are
mail.credicorp.co.uk. - Check the ports and security. Incoming IMAP is port 993 with SSL/TLS; outgoing SMTP is port 587 with STARTTLS.
- Remember the outgoing server needs a password too. iOS labels the SMTP user name and password “Optional”, but you must enter them or sending will fail.
- Still stuck? Remove the account (Settings › Mail › Accounts › Credicorp › Delete Account) and add it again from the start.
