Set up Credicorp email on Android
This guide adds your Credicorp mailbox to an Android phone or tablet. The steps below use the Gmail app (which comes with most Android devices), but the same server settings work in any mail app — Outlook for Android, Samsung Email, FairEmail and others.
Credicorp uses IMAP, so your mail stays on the server and stays in sync across every device you sign in from. (We do not offer POP.) Prefer not to set anything up? You can always read and send mail in your browser at webmail.credicorp.co.uk.
Before you start
- Your full email address, for example
yourname@credicorp.co.uk. - Your mailbox password (the password for your email, not your Android device PIN).
- A working internet connection.
Add your mailbox to the Gmail app
- Open the Gmail app. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner, then tap Add another account.
- On the “Set up email” screen, tap Other.
- Type your full email address (for example
yourname@credicorp.co.uk) and tap Manual setup. When asked for the account type, choose Personal (IMAP). - Enter your mailbox password and tap Next.
- On the Incoming server settings screen, enter:
Tap Next.Username Your full email address Password Your mailbox password Server mail.credicorp.co.ukPort 993Security type SSL/TLS - On the Outgoing server settings screen, make sure
Require sign-in is turned on, then enter:
Tap Next.Username Your full email address Password Your mailbox password SMTP server mail.credicorp.co.ukPort 587Security type STARTTLS - Choose your sync options if asked, then give the account a name (for example “Credicorp”) and tap Next. Your mailbox now appears in the Gmail app.
Send a test email to yourself to confirm that both sending and receiving work.
Manual IMAP and SMTP settings
Using a different mail app, or entering everything by hand? These are the canonical Credicorp mailbox settings — the same on every device and app.
Incoming mail (IMAP)
| Server | mail.credicorp.co.uk |
|---|---|
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL/TLS |
| Username | Your full email address |
| Password | Your mailbox password |
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
| Server | mail.credicorp.co.uk |
|---|---|
| Port | 587 |
| Security | STARTTLS |
| Authentication | Required (same username and password as incoming) |
Credicorp is IMAP only — POP is not offered. IMAP keeps your phone, computer and webmail perfectly in sync, so a message you read or file on one device shows the same everywhere.
If it does not connect
- Double-check the server name. Both incoming and outgoing use
mail.credicorp.co.uk— notcredicorp.co.ukon its own. - Use your full email address as the username, not just the part before the
@. - Check the ports and security. Incoming is
993with SSL/TLS; outgoing is587with STARTTLS. If your app offers “SSL/TLS” and “STARTTLS” as separate options, match them exactly as above. - Outgoing needs sign-in. Make sure “Require sign-in” (or “Authentication required”) is turned on for the outgoing server, using the same username and password.
- Confirm your password. If sign-in keeps failing, check you can sign in at webmail.credicorp.co.uk first.
