No. Applying is discreet. We do not phone your customers, suppliers, bank or accountant to ask about you as part of a standard application. The assessment is built from the company's own bank data, its Companies House record and a business credit check — not from ringing round your contacts.
What we actually use
The read-only Open Banking feed, the public company record and the credit check give us what we need without involving anyone else — see how we decide whether to lend and what company information do you need to see. Your application stays between you and us.
There is no reference call to a supplier, no message to your customers, and no approach to your bank beyond the read-only feed you authorise. How your data is handled is in is my data safe when i apply.
Rare exceptions
If we ever needed to verify a specific detail, we would come to you for it, not go around you — what documents we might ask you to provide. You control what you share. If discretion is a particular concern, a person can reassure you before you start.
Apply — quietly and on your terms.
We lend only to UK limited companies and LLPs, the loan is to the company with no director personal guarantee, and this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime — as an exempt lender under Article 60B of the Regulated Activities Order we sit outside FCA consumer-credit regulation, so the Financial Ombudsman Service and FSCS do not apply.
