Applying

Can I apply if my company was recently restored to the register?

A company that has been restored to the register can, in principle, apply — but a restoration is unusual enough that we look carefully at the current trading picture and the reasons behind it. What matters is that the company is genuinely active now, with real trading and clean, current filings.

Restoration is a flag to understand, not an automatic no

Being struck off and restored is out of the ordinary, so it naturally draws a closer look — why we check Companies House. If the company is now trading properly, filings are current, and the bank activity shows genuine business, the restoration itself need not sink an application. The key is present-day substance.

Get the record clean

Make sure all overdue filings are brought up to date — can i apply with late filed accounts or overdue confirmation statement — and that the company details match the register — what if my companys details have recently changed.

Rebuild the trading picture

A restored company often needs a fresh run of trading history for us to assess confidently, much like a new company. Let genuine activity build through the business account, then apply from a stronger footing — what strengthens an application.

Once the company is genuinely active and current, apply.

We lend only to UK limited companies and LLPs, the loan is to the company with no director personal guarantee, and this is business finance outside the consumer-credit regime — as an exempt lender under Article 60B of the Regulated Activities Order we sit outside FCA consumer-credit regulation, so the Financial Ombudsman Service and FSCS do not apply.
